Training & Equipping the Saints
Paul wrote to a young pastor of the largest church in the world at that time with very good instructions that apply to our day. That young man was Timothy. This is what Paul said-

Remind people of these things and solemnly charge them before the Lord not to wrangle over words. This is of no benefit; it just brings ruin on those who listen. Make every effort to present yourself before God as a proven worker who does not need to be ashamed, teaching the message of truth accurately. But avoid profane chatter, because those occupied with it will stray further and further into ungodliness, and their message will spread its infection like gangrene. Hymenaeus and Philetus are in this group. They have strayed from the truth by saying that the resurrection has already occurred, and they are undermining some people’s faith. However, God’s solid foundation remains standing, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from evil.”
Now in a wealthy home there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also ones made of wood and of clay, and some are for honorable use, but others for ignoble use. So if someone cleanses himself of such behavior, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart, useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.  But keep away from youthful passions, and pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love, and peace, in company with others who call on the Lord from a pure heart. But reject foolish and ignorant controversies, because you know they breed infighting. And the Lord’s slave must not engage in heated disputes but be kind toward all, an apt teacher, patient,  correcting opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth and they will come to their senses and escape the devil’s trap where they are held captive to do his will.

But understand this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, opposed to what is good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, loving pleasure rather than loving God. They will maintain the outward appearance of religion but will have repudiated its power. So avoid people like these. For some of these insinuate themselves into households and captivate weak women who are overwhelmed with sins and led along by various passions. Such women are always seeking instruction, yet never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these people – who have warped minds and are disqualified in the faith– also oppose the truth. But they will not go much further, for their foolishness will be obvious to everyone, just like it was with Jannes and Jambres.

You, however, have followed my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my endurance, as well as the persecutions and sufferings that happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, and in Lystra. I endured these persecutions and the Lord delivered me from them all. Now in fact all who want to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But evil people and charlatans will go from bad to worse, deceiving others and being deceived themselves. You, however, must continue in the things you have learned and are confident about. You know who taught you and how from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:14-27 (emphasis mine).

Jesus was a Teacher! A large proportion of His ministry was teaching and part of the great commission involves teaching. He actually commanded us to make disciples, which of course necessitates a certain degree of teaching. Matthew 5:1-2 says
And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying...
Please notice that Jesus did not teach the multitudes but His disciples!
When He spoke in parables and was asked about that, He told the disciples that He was revealing revelation to Them... not to the multitudes. See Matthew 13:13; Mark 4:34; 7:17.
And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?
And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Luke 8:9-11.

Our training follows similar lines. By Jesus' own words, the seed is the word and it is our desire to see to it that the good seed is not only sown into good soil, but produces good fruit.

To this end, our training facilities currently being redeveloped are designed to equip the saints to do the work of the ministry according to Ephesians 4:10-16. We do not offer formal credentials or ordain people into ministry positions for several reasons.
  • It is not our calling
  • It is a massive task, given the global outreach of this ministry
  • God calls, equips and ordains. Man should recognise and honour the anointing placed on the individual
  • Our subject matter concentrates on several key areas.
  • The Kingdom of God, which is God's way of doing things
  • Faith, or the principles of faith. This is closely linked to the above.
  • The Godhead
  • The Church
  • The Return of Jesus Christ
  • Practical issues of life
By design, we aim as I have explained, to be different to denominationally based training in that we do not offer formal qualifications at this present time, with the belief that God appoints, ordains and equips the believer. We can however recommend several excellent institutions on request, thus ensuring that all things are done decently and in order.
