God told Abraham to leave everything familiar behind and move. It was to be a move to the place of His appointment, but it took time, patience and a whole lot of faith.
In like manner, we are undergoing a major change in the ministry. This has been part of our ministry vision for many years and, as we have seen happen with other ministries of repute, it involves relocation. We are moving from the mountain we love, to the place of God's appointment that He spoke of many years before. The years spent on Mount Tamborine have been our training ground.
I have been born again for over 40 years now, so I am not a novice or a fool and I have been very careful to ensure that the voice I am listening to is in fact God's voice. What is on the horizon is something new and exciting and, as God unfolds things to us, I am amazed at the way God has planned this in infinite and precise detail. His plans are meticulous. Someone once said that the wheels of God grind slow, but they grind exceeding fine (referring to a grinding wheel). Such plans take time to bring to fulfilment. After all, it takes time for the cream to separate and rise to the top.
Abraham was not a young man when God told him to move. I am now close to seventy years of age, but am only now coming into my prime into what we believe is a large and new ministry that will take us to the return of Jesus. God is taking us to our Promised Land that my forefathers never went in to possess. It is a land of milk and honey; a land of rolling hills and mountains; a land where the grapes of Eschol are rich and ripe and a land where we will need to exercise great faith to go in and possess.
We are planning for two new main churches. One is in another state of Australia and the other is in the United States. There are other projects on the drawing boards.
For obvious reasons, I will not yet disclose all of the details, simply because we do not yet have the full picture. Suffice it to say that it is breathtaking and, after much prayer, soul searching, sweat and tears... and seeking counsel... have made the choice to obey God and close down our existing church and take our journey... cross our Jordan River and take possession of the land of our inheritance in God. Read Deuteronomy chapters one and two.
We invite you to follow with us; pray for us; believe in us and support us in any way you can.
Thank you,
Robert and Marge Carter
