Incident at Sea:
On May 31, Israeli IDF forces boarded ships carrying food and supplies to Gaza.
As they boarded the fleet of ships, violence erupted on board one vessel, the Mavi Marmara.
Was this a justifiable event or simply as much opinion states another act of aggression by Israel?
Reports instantly circulated around the globe as unprovoked violence on Israel’s part against humanitarian peace activists attempting to deliver food and aid to the suffering Palestinians of the Gaza Strip, leaving possibly 18 activists dead are erroneous.
The reality is far from what was reported.
Israel’s war is on two fronts—an unashamedly biased media and hostile nations instant to condemn, and anxious for conflict.
Look at the series of events carefully.
This flotilla of ships deliberately broke through a clearly defined and publicly announced maritime blockade imposed by Israel in an attempt to prevent weapons from being brought into Gaza. Such weapons have been used in the past in unwarranted attacks against Israeli civilians… women and children, which is clearly an act of terrorism. In addition, when IDF repeatedly advised the fleet that they had entered a legally constituted blockade area as per International Maritime Law, the taunts received wer clearly not the speech of peaceful protestors, responding with blatant anti-Semitic slurs. The following link will allow you to hear the recording by released moments before the raid.
Flotilla passengers: Go back to Auschwitz... Remember 9-11.
Click to hear the Audio: IDF soldiers warn flotilla vessels they are nearing area under naval blockade, latter respond with anti-Semitic slurs. The soldiers can be heard warning the flotilla that its vessels are nearing an area under naval blockade. They are answered by calls of "Go back to Auschwitz" and "Don't forget 9/11 guys".

There is No Food Shortage in Gaza!
Israel assures the consistent transfer of food to Gaza — by legitimate relief organizations such as the UN and the Red Cross.
Over the past 18 months, Israel has seen that more than a million tons of humanitarian supplies have been transferred to Gaza.
Israel offered to transfer the goods to Gaza, but would not allow the ships to break the blockade… which has been in effect due to the Hamas terrorist organization takeover, which Egypt had also denounced.
Previous peace ships that have been intercepted have been found to be smuggling weapons.
Israeli soldiers boarded the other ships in the flotilla peacefully, but only one ship, the Mavi Marmara attacked violently in a clear act of pre-planned violence.

 | Do Peacekeepers really need to use Stun Grenades and other weapons?
The Photograph is a clip from videos taken when IDF forces were attempting to board the vessel. The bright flashes of exploding grenades can be clearly seen in the video and the exposions can be heard. Other objects can also be seen.
Click here to see the clip.
Form your own opinion, but no peacekeeper uses iron bars and similar objects... this was evidently a planned violent attack, following repeated requests by Israel to turn back.
Sample Communication:
Israel Navy: "Mavi Marmara, you are approaching an area of hostilities which is under a naval blockade. The Gaza area coastal region and Gaza harbor are closed to all maritime traffic. The Israeli government supports delivery of humanitarian supplies to the civilian population in the Gaza Strip and invites you to enter the Ashdod port. Delivery of supplies in accordance with the authorities' regulations will be through the formal land crossings and under your observation, after which you can return to your home ports on the vessels on which you have arrived."
Response: "Negative, negative."
The offer was rejected, leaving Israel no option but to enforce a legal blockade under International Maritime Law after repeated warnings...

See another movie clip clearly showing deliberate preparations for volent conflict. These men ware not peaceful activists at all...
One Peaceful Activist is clearly seen stabbing an IDF soldier. Please notice that he attacked from behind! Do "peaceful people" do things like that? I think not.

Is a Maritime Blockade Legal?
Maritime blockades are a legitimate and recognized measure under international law that may be implemented as part of an armed conflict at sea.A blockade may be imposed at sea, including international waters, so long as it does not bar access to the ports and coasts of neutral states. The naval manuals of several western countries, including the US and England recognize the maritime blockade as an effective naval measure and set forth the various criteria that make a blockade valid, including the requirement of give due notice of the existence of the blockade.
Such due notice had been given prior May 31.
Israel clearly publicized the existence of the blockade and the precise coordinates of such by means of the accepted international professional maritime channels.
Israel also provided appropriate notification to the affected governments and to the organizers of the Gaza protest flotilla.
Under customary law, knowledge of the blockade may be presumed once a blockade has been declared and appropriate notification has been granted, as above.
Under international maritime law, when a maritime blockade is in effect, no vessels of any kind can enter the blockaded area. If unlawful entry into the blockaded area occurs, a state may take action to enforce this blockade.Any vessel that violates or attempts to violate a maritime blockade may be captured or even attacked under international law.
The US Commander's Handbook on the Law of Naval Operations sets forth that a vessel is considered to be in attempt to breach a blockade from the time the vessel leaves its port with the intention of evading the blockade.
This maritime blockade is in effect off the coast of Gaza, having been imposed as Israel is currently in a state of armed conflict with the Hamas regime that controls Gaza. This regime has repeatedly bombed civilian targets in Israel with weapons that have been smuggled into Gaza via the sea.
The protesters indicated their clear intention to violate the blockade by means of written and oral statements and the route of these vessels indicated their clear and deliberate intention to violate the blockade in violation of international law.
The ships participating in the protest flotilla were warned repeatedly that a maritime blockade is in effect.
Given the protesters explicit intention to violate the naval blockade, Israel exercised its right under international law to enforce the blockade. It should be noted that prior to undertaking enforcement measures, explicit warnings were relayed directly to the captains of the vessels, expressing Israel's intent to exercise its right to enforce the blockade.
Israel had attempted to take control of the vessels participating in the flotilla by peaceful means and in an orderly fashion in order to enforce the blockade. Given the large number of vessels participating in the flotilla, an operational decision was made to undertake measures to enforce the blockade a certain distance from the area of the blockade.
Israeli personnel attempting to enforce the blockade were met with violence by the protesters and acted in self defense to fend off such attacks. They were immediately brutally attacked by the “peace activists” wielding iron bars, knives, stun grenades, firebombs and guns. Video evidence clearly shows that the terrorists were preparing for violence.During a search aboard the maritime vessel Mavi Marmara, IDF forces uncovered a cache of weapons including many knives, slingshots, rocks, smoke bombs, metal rods, improvised sharp metal objects, sticks and clubs, 5KG hammers, firebombs and gas masks. The nature of these contents clearly indicated that the intentions of those on board were not peaceful.
These weapons were used against Israeli Navy personnel as they attempted to board the ship. 7 soldiers were injured during the incident, which included activists taking two pistols from the soldiers and firing at them. One IDF soldier was deliberately thrown overboard. One soldier was stabbed from behind in a cowardly attack. Others were being terribly beaten and one soldier was thrown three stories to the deck below, which is not the act of rational peaceful behaviour. This is not the act of rational peaceful people embarking on humanitarian aid.
The Israeli soldiers boarded the lead ship to commandeer the bridge, armed with Paintball Guns and only side arms for self-defense if needed.
When a soldier was fired upon with a gun, were the soldiers allowed to use their side arms — which they aimed at the legs of their attackers in order to attempt to disperse the rioters.
This is a far cry from what hysterical news correspondents claimed, or the “Massacre!” committed by Israel, PLO Chief Mahmoud Abbas cried to the world.
Turkey’s foreign ministry has warned of "irreparable consequences" to the two countries' relations. Angry and violent protests against Israel have sprung up in capitol cities around the globe, decrying this incident and citing fallacious information.
The Danish Research Institute has exposed the Turkish organization IHH with Al-Qaeda and global jihad; photographs of weapons found on board the ship Mavi Marmara and statements that those who attacked IDF soldiers in the incident are Al-Qaeda mercenaries.
The links on this page will reveal the truth on this incident, showing press releases by Israel indicating their stance and YouTube movies of the incident. These movies clearly prove that Israel was not the aggressor, but a people invoking their human rights for defense of their homeland.

Please use reason when forming opinions. Many comments I have seen on You Tube are to say the least made by non thinking people. Let me ask you... If someone kept harming your children, or continually harassed you for reasons that can no longer be remembered... wouldn't you want to protect your rights?
When Japan bombed Pearl Harbour at the start of World War 2, they never sat back but retaliated.
Isn't this what Israel is doing? Let sanity and reason prevail.
